    KM shoulderboards for review

    Hi there,

I'd like to hear your opinions on this pair, good one?

If I'm not wrong these are coastal artillery troop boards upgraded to NCO.

But shouldn't it wear the metalic device? (anchor with bomb abd wings)?

    Thanks in advance,

    Doc.

It is a shame that someone removed the tresse from the first set. Technically, the emblems are supposed to be metallic, but I have seen them like this too. If there were no blank shoulder boards available, why not?

no problems with these, but with the obvious removal of the tresse it is badly damaged in my view

Isn't that just the reverse side of the same tab?

Doc, I was thinking in buy this also, but I'm not 100% sure. These are a NCO inside out upgraded pair, NCO tress looks original for me, but theare two detail that puzzled me.

This pair looks as it has been washed, why?, to give them a used look?

And all german shoulder straps has the button hole finished in TT and in these that is missing. With the picture probably I explain it better.

As the other chaps said, the tresse is not removed, but stitched inside out.

Interesting point my friend! Anyway I thought 60 bucks was a fair price for this set.

Interesting that some one would do this for a promotion. Having the embroidered Artillery insignia may have interferred with the placement of the metal insignia. I have a set like this, but they just ran the braid over the wings!

                        Greetings All,

I just saw this thread and minutes before purchased the boards. The Boards show definate wear on the side with the emblem and when the cheap ass soldier got promoted he just turned them over and put on the tress. He might not have even still been in that branch.

A good looking set of boards, with some added history.
