    black Shirt...for the Bin?

    Im not a Uniform Guy but because its a very old german shirt and just found on a attic of a household where I got some nice photo stuff from.
    I would just like to know, before I clean my Rims with it.

        Buttons..there are again 2 Buttons on a flap on the inside of the Jacket and 2 Buttons on the back of the Collar

          Looks like a WW2 era US shirt that has been dyed black.

            Jeff is exactly right. US WWII shirt with typical buttons and gas flap, presumably dyed for civilian use.

              still hard to decide what to do with it now. it also has quite some small moth holes on the back..and its even dyed in black

                  WAIT!!!I just got the clue!!

                  The Soldier Group I have from this household had a Doc included that he was in a US POW Camp! ! and today I got this shirt from the same household as my buddy was cleaning out the attic today

                  could it be that the german soldier brought back this shirt from his time in US POW Camp?? I guess it wasnt really a problem back then,or was it?

                          If you look at my photo thread on German POW's you will see many pics of POW's wearing dyed black GI shirts and trousers.
