    Kriegsmarine Beamter Boards

I just picked up this set of boards recently and was wondering how often Beamter boards are seen. I've checked out the various sites, but haven't seen another set for comparison. Thanks

I'd like to know more about these as well. Anyone want to chime in about these boards?

      Greetings Kondor,

After chatting with you about these I don't think that they had a branch distinction unless it was in the color. I think they are like the Heer admin board with the HV and the colors tell you what they did. My guess. I guess I will have to do a bit more reading tonight.

Hello David, Thanks for your input, but if you take a look at the first picture posted, they are navy blue on black indicating that they belong to technical officials with officer rank. Also senior pilots and technical speciality schools. There never has been any other devise below the eagle to denote which of the above. I know that KM Spain has a set for a Verwaltungsbeamte des mittleren Dienstes or Adimin official of the lower rank (one rank star). I've seen the sleeve insignia for these specialists at shows, but never shoulder boards. Hence, the question.

          Any other Kriegies out there

These boards were used by Officials with NCO rank, is this case as David has said an Oberfeldwebel, and the black color color of the backing indicates as you say Technical branches.

The use of branch devices in these shoulders is very unusual, and I only have seen them on Administration branch shoulders.

My Feldwebel Verwaltungsbeamter shoulders, unfortunately mismached , but with the branch devices and both eagles looking to the front.

Very nice. THose boards are among the rarest of the Armed Forces Beamte services. I did not think that there was a way to identify the specialty of the official in the KM... they all had the naval dark blue underlay, right?

                Kriegsmarine Beamte Waffenfarbe

Hello Paul, thanks for the comments. I have to admit I'm not finding any others out there for sale. Thanks to KM-Spain (Eduardo), I now understand the difference between the officer boards and the Feldwebel.
As for the underlay of these:
Navy Blue on Navy Blue denoted that you worked in the OKM, Naval High Command
Navy blue on Black (mine above) denoted technical officials, senior pilots, naval craft officials
Navy blue with a Carmine underlay denoted the legal department of the KM
Navy Blue on a Cornflower Blue underlay denoted Admin officials, Pharmacists and non- speciality instructors.

According to Eduardo, the Officers wore shoulder boards with no designation of speciality in these area's, but of course had the speciality shown on the sleeve insignia. Their Shoulder Boards had the same underlay as above.

I hope this helps others if they should run across these in the future
