    Greetings FloridaLancer,

Although I collect Heer insignia, I like this eagle alot. That is not saying that it is good but it has alot of good characteristics to it.

To me it appears to be an early Naval, summer, enlistedmans, private purchase breast eagle. I like the trim around the eagle and the look of the body. It appears to have had a few cleanings and the lines in the wings are a little worse for wear because of it. Besides that ,I like it.

I only know of two variations of this eagle, machine woven (post 1936) and machine embroided (pre 1936). This bird is unknown to me. KM Spain can be more of help here, as I never encountered one of these odd looking birds before ....

Looks AOK to me... highlighted insignia to spruce it up or NCO ranks...IMO Billbert

The eagle is a nice original handembroidered variation.

          All the best,

This model is usually found on early jumpers, and from pictures I like it, but is true that there are two details that are not usal, firts the white thread on the wings and and eagle's breast, and second that the swastika is very off-center.
