nice jäger waffenrock

I want to show this nice waffenrock
I have got it directly from the vet
The breast eagle is resewn but it´s the original eagle that belongs to the waffenrock . The jacket was denazified by the vet after war ending and the eagle was resewn in the 60´s. The eagle was in the inside pocket that time.
An infantry waffenrock ist nothing special but this one is because the waffenrock has the green jäger colour!
I found out (http://www.lexikon-der-wehrmacht.de/...enter/IR15.htm) that the III. Bataillon of the 15 Inf. Regt. had the designation Jäger Bataillon in memory of the early "kurhessische Jäger Bataillon 11" (1813-1907).

Very nice. I still remember seeing an idiot dealer at a gun show 15 years ago or so that had removed green piped 15 hauptmann shoulder boards from a tunic and restored it with GJ unit officer boards and a sleeve badge- he was unaware there were Jager battalions in line Infantry Rgts.

Awesome tunic. This is right down my alley. The only thing that could make this tunic better for me if it was the 13th regiment. Truely an awesome piece and the tailor made shoulderstraps are to die for.

I just picked up a III Bt. 15IR board this week. In Green. Lovely.

Interesting how the shoulder straps and fly of the tunic in pics 2 and 4 are a darker almost admin green compared to the collar and tab piping.

I have made the pics with flash. So the colours looks different.
But all colours are totally the same.

It looks all grass green to me etc. most admin I have is almost the color of badge cloth.
