Are tThese Mountain Troops Wind Jacket Boards?

Hope everyone had a nice Christmas! I just received these cotton-topped boards from a friend, intending to display them on a summer tunic I had. However, they are too long for a regular tunic and the cotton on top is an odd shade and weight: it is shirt-weight material.

Now that i have these in hand, I believe they are for the GJ windjacke: flatter curves to the nose of the tab (almost box-like), identical waterproof cotton as used on the jackets, same buttonholing features, wool bottoms, and the batch number stamped on the grey-green artificial silk tongues that many of these seem to exhibit.

So - are these for the shirt or other uniform item, or the windjacke type?

    regards, Robert

          VERY desirable!
Another GJ clue, besides the waffenfarbe, is the material! used!
These straps are intended for the double breasted GJ "windjacke" (wind breaker jacket) !
So made in the same material as such a GJ coat!

Thanks Nick, that's good news. I have a GJ jacket in storage; maybe time to dig it out!

Very nice and a great example of textbook Jager green piping.

Two shades of it, actually! While these are obviously a pair, the piping is slightly off, with one board slightly lighter than the other.

I think those minor differences can come just from being stored on top of each other stacked in drawer etc. These were in a trunk for 60 plus or minus years. I am sure they are the same manufacturer, look the same ? and an issued/worn pair etc.
