Ok....I give up....evidently I am way too low in the food chain to be inquiring about this in the first place.
Robin says everything this guy sells is good then that is that. End of the discussion.
I will leave my worries about the Sandbox Man with this parting thought: .......what about all of the rest of the stuff in this guy sells? Not only the skulls, which seem to be a really popularly accepted item he sells.....what about ALL of the rest of the stuff?
And how in the world can a guy set up a stand with SS cap eagles and skulls for sale for 10 - 20 Euro next to a table that offers "non-sandbox" finds for 500% more and no one, none of the dealers, buy him out right away?
Only food for thought from a moron who prefers Imperial to start with.....I resign my discussion here and crawl back to the Imperial hole from which I came from....
Brad

Can't you with GIS and your learned talents as an archaeologist reconstruct the Wartime events surrounding the deposition of the skulls and WBs in the soils box and identify the original owners of the skulls based on their proximity to the Fire Exits on the Hall doors and the angle of the door frame in relation to the pitch of the roof?

Heaven.....
I will steer clear of these TR forums in the future.
Moderator...please give me what is coming to me on the form of a citation or ban. I expect it based on the replies I have so far heard.
I only intended to intelligently discuss something that has concerned me for many years. I did not expect the "end of story and this has already been discussed" thing to happen.
I go back to my Imperial hole and let you TR guys have at it….
Let me add that at one time many years ago I bought one of Robin’s book’s and thought it was fantastic….

The Berlin hoard is real enough (although how many skulls make a hoard? If its Roman coins we are talking about, you only need 7!) BUT there are shady dealers out there who peddle fakes pretending to be from the Berlin hoard and to make their case stronger, sell them with all the dirt and detritus attached.
Also Brad do not worry about being too far down the food chain, you need a few hundred years to get to where I am!!

Jokes...ok cool! …….I love jokes! :-) Now I understand.....
When we discuss a new member's object, regardless if it is fake or not, joking is ok and should be considered normal discussion about these historic artifacts – regardless if the are fake or not. What is important is joking….am I correct?
Is that what the WAF is all about? I doubt it! Take that crap to the “Kneipe”.
Most of what I read in the TR arena belongs in the Kneipe to start with.
There is way too much arrogance here and poking fun at new members and their probable fake acquisitions for me to deal with. In that sense what you guys, the elite “know it alls” do is deter “newbie’s” from joining or remaining with the WAF.
Oh well….I go back to mu Imperial cave and let you TR guys have at it…. Joke and joke until no one knows what real is or not.
Bye…and I promise, thanks to you fine folks, I will never enter a TR forum again……..

unless the so called Sandman is selling reproductions of the Berlin hoard type and pretends they are Berlin hoard? And if so, how to tell them apart?
Men what thoughts this late...
Hang in there Brad!

I bought a 100% real Heer "der Spiess" tunic for 650 bucks off Ebay with a buy it now because everyone assumed it was fake based on the price.
I do not know about people selling this stuff on Ebay and am talking about the skulls that were shown but normally if a real hoard is found and documented all of a sudden everything oxidized is attributed to the "hoard". I have seen enough KVKs now to fill a shuttle hanger that were all supposedly found as part of the "Deschler Hoard".
