Kriegsmarine Breast Eagles - a check please?

    Hello fellows.

I am new here because I have only collected German WWII handguns the past 15 years, not militaria. I have a great print of the "Bismarck" on its way and will be preparing to frame it. I've been trying to decide what original/authentic piece of militaria I can add to the matting to bring the framed print to life. Problem is, there are so many fakes out there and being new here I can not post pics or put an add in the WTB section. I'm still searching for a High Seas Fleet stick pin but was going to supplement that with maybe a colorful bullion breast eagle.

I have found a few I like, are in my price range, but have no idea if they are authentic. Since I can't post pics, if anyone would be so kind as to email me, I can send pics of fronts and backs? I trust the sellers, but it always helps to get another opinion, especially since I am ignorant in this field.

Dave, to be honest I really don't like any of them for a display. Eagle 3 is a good one but very salty, eagle 2 remember me some foreing made eagles but not seen very often on KM, and eagle 1 has something that doesn't like me, but IO could be wrong.

Thanks for the kind assistance in posting, Eduardo and Fred!

So, I should keep looking? I found some very nice embroidered ones but I am kinda leaning towards the bullion because of its depth, i.e. its ability to pick-up shadows and contrasts when framed.

Dave, and what about a metalic eagle, not expensive and easier to find a nice good one.

Hello Eduardo! The metal eagles are great as well and might be a choice. I'm still leaning towards a bullion eagle at this point, again, because of its depth.

Maybe, I will search for a couple more, if that is not too much trouble?

                    Thank you, Dave

Thanks, KM-NZ. Seems #3 so far is the only one that consensus says it is authentic.

I don't know what an Bevo is, I'm afraid. Is it another type of bullion?

                        Thank you!

Eduardo, I have mistakenly deleted our email coorespondence. I have pictures of a few more I could send to you if you would be so kind as to email me back. Sorry!
