    Panzerjaeger officer tunic Identification

I recently acquired this tunic. It is interesting as it started out as an nco and and then promoted to an officer. One can see where the tress and collar tabs were removed long ago. Even the shoulder board loops are wider to accomodate nco boards. It shows some nice wear, a nice salty combat look. My question is, his ID disk was in the pocket. I believe this to be the original string also. Is there any way to find out who this soldier was through the ID disk? Blood group on the reverse, so is this after '42?
    Thanks for any assistance.

This disc was issued between August 1939 and April 1940

yes, i was thinking of finding a nice worn eagle for it. But I am not sure if I will reapply it or may just get it and keep it in the pocket.
thanks for the info on the ID disk.

Great photos, That is exactly the tunic I would like to dupicate.

I have these 3 eagles currently. The first one, just does not do it for me personally (with the wool backround), the flatwire is a bit too small, and the 3rd is not an officer (but this is the type I would like but officer version with bullion wire). what do you guys think.

You may find the type you seek here? http://oakleafmilitaria.com/german_cloth_insignia.html
Best of luck and keep us updated, This is a great tunic and the Eagle in the pocket is not a bad idea if you don't plan on a combat display!

Ran across this one in the link tonight during my usual searching, it is a nice tunic removed example and would look great carried in the pocket or sewn on!

Perhaps Mike has other examples not listed on his site, May be worth contacting Him!
                        Best of luck!

thank you for the link. I am on the hunt! I will post it again when an appropriate eagle has landed on the tunic.

The flatwire looks most natural IMO.
