Heer Panzer Jaeger Assault Gun Wrap-Around

Just wanted to show this one...A late F-44 date PzG AG wrapper. Shows just the right amount of wear.

This one came out of a Veterans Family in the USA...What is interesting is that the eagle is hand sewn,I know a few collectors who have and have seen eagles original hand applied on late dated wrappers. It appears the collar tabs were applied before the edge of the collar was folded over and sewn.

The interior size markings were stamped twice as the first lower set of stamps were weak.Shoulder straps are the 44 type and original to the jacket.

Probably I'm blind, but is this a M-44 color wool like in M-44 tunic ?

            Nice to see original tunic.

                Glenn,

Another super example you have turned up. The depot markings are interesting for this one and the collar tab application is very nice!

                Congrats

Nope, it came from Tennessee with another single Pz strap, a few tropical photos and some surplus American items.

Very sweet indeed! Without the evidently solid provenance the nice featured collar tabs are very convincing and I would indeed never necessarily rule out late war hand stitched breast eagles.

                            Nice score!
