    Original WWII Boots??

    I was wondering if anyone can tell me if these boots are original WWII German boots?? The markings are "1010" and "41" on the leather soles and "41" stamped on the inside of each boot.

    Thanks,
    Eric

        Hi Eric,
        they're most likely a post-war production run of one of the various types of Czech lowboots!These boots were also produced during WW2 but their leather wasn't blackened.The toe iron is sometimes seen on WW2 German lowboots and the eight-sided hobnails are seen on very-late war M44;I've got a pair of mint RBNred M44 with these very nails!
        Hope that helps

            None of this methods I'm afraid......here you are a few examples;
            30 is the INTERNAL lenght of the shoe/boot in cms. and 6 is the INTERNAL width at the narrowest point!

                            Congrats Johnny,
                            you've got a beautiful pair of WW2 chrome-tanned Czech shoes produced FOR the Germans .....I've only seen a handful of them and one pair is in my collection(not as beautiful as yours!)......look at the sizes though....it's a very important detail.....a RBNr has sense but sizes are VITAL and they should follow German standards!They're "period" anyway, and the lower toecap in very peculiar to them.....nice find indeed!
                            Way to go Johnny

                              Eric:
                              The boots you show have been around for decades...I had a pair as far back as 1987 ($80 back in those days)...you can also find them marked SS BW tamped inside the ankle portion.

                              As noted already...not original WWII German low boots.
