The shorts are actually US Army wool trousers, cut down into shorts. Identifiers are the gas flap behind the fly, color, construction, etc.

I cannot really imagine they are US Army Shorts, because they have a typical german construction, if compared to other shorts.

any more opinions on the shorts?

If that's typical German construction, then I have no clue what is!

From the buttonholes, buttons, belt loops, GAS FLAP (behind the fly), and material (worsted wool) it's painfully obvious of the origin of these trousers. I have 20+ examples of US trousers from WWII (M1937, and the '42, and '44 revised types with gas flaps) in my collection, and these fit the bill.

In their current condition, value would only be $5 USD, unless you could find provenance of these being worn by a German soldier, like a photo of the owner wearing them in wartime. My guess is that these were stocks of surplus trousers doled out in the postwar period during the clothing shortages, shortened to shorts.

It is not WH shirt, that is the basic obstacle with selling this on here on e-stand. Tropical shirts are similar to yours but not the same. And please do not tell my that this one is in French cut ( or used to be French Army before 1940) with buttoned collar:- these looks different too.

Sorry Andreas but your shirt has nothing to do with Wehrmacht or DAK.

I agree that the shirt in question is not standard WH issue. Not sure what it is. I don't think it would look bad at all on a mannequin under a tunic and wouldn't be surprised if this type of shirt was used by some uniformed formation during the Third Reich (and perhaps even by the Wehrmacht) but it will not command the price of a real Wehrmacht issue-type garment.
