good to see triangular eagles on some these nice jackets-a question. hbt tunics had a central seam to the back of the jacket. but why was there so much cloth left over either side of this seam? when you look on the inside there is usually about 2cms either side of the seam...was it done to allow the tunic to be adjusted? in theory this seam can be opened and more cloth let out, the seam re-sewn and the jacket becomes larger.
was this the intention? thanks in advance.

According to me, this extra cloth is due to the shape of the jacket's bottom, the central opening of the fall of the jacket requires a surplus of material to obtain a good covering of the left part on the right part. Otherwise, an incision must be made in the canvas to suppress this offcuts which complicates the manufacturing process of the jacket.

                      Hello!
I have one question about patches on Wehrmacht tunics.
What is regular positions of patches on left sleeve, for example some Gefreiter, if he had been signal in his company so he had signal blitz patch and he won some campaign shield (Krim or Kuban or some)...
Was shield sew-in over rank chevron and signal blitz or..?
If anyone have some picture of something like this, please post it.

                      thanks in advance!

thanks for your thoughts i appreciate it. this construction could favour the enlarging of a tnic too small...ok so soldiers recieved their size, but these tunics can in theory be let out and made bigger by resewing the central seam evenly. has anyone seen tunics of this type so modified?

I finally took a better picture of my tunic.
It's my first display on a mannequin and I'm quite proud of it

                            Hi,

Have you ever seen such HBT tunic? This is not mine, but has been sold on one of the polish online markets a few days ago. I've got this links from one of my mates. I would know what is the type of this uniform? For me looks good, but eagle seems to be officer's style, when collar tabs are like typical soldier ones. And anyway, collar looks like those from m36 wh tunic.

Only two of your pictures are working...
It's difficult to make a judgment with them.
                              try to post them again
