It looks more of a gray to me as well, but regardless, it is a great tunic.

              Rove,

Looks like a beautiful uniform. The cuff tabs are not applied as per regulations and matter of fact, they are much lower than any I have seen before. However, this is not a negative. I have seen all sorts of inconsistencies with privately tailored waffenrocks and it seems it was a matter of preference by the wearer.

I would carefully check to ensure the cuff tabs were originally applied to the tunic and if so, you have a winner!

                12. Infanterie

A hard Waffenfarbe to find for a Waffenrock! This was part of the 12. Infanterie Division http://www.lexikon-der-wehrmacht.de/...ionen/12ID.htm

                    hello

i got now the tunic and want to show you a point, which seems to be discutable.

the difference of mirrors and the blue of the paspellierung is very interesting.

                    this is grey, isnt it?

                    greetings

                          Rove,

You have a transport waffenrock and the color variance on the piping and collar/cuff tabs is very common. For whatever reason (probably the type of dyes used) the light blue color used for transport waffenrocks has a tendency to fade over time. No worries. It looks like a beautiful piece.

That is a very nice waffenrock..Mark is correct on transport waffenfarbe having many different shades nowadays. Pretty much runs the stretch between light blue to pale grey. Quite often transport waffenfarbe can take an almost Pk tone to it and at times has been represented as propaganda . I Have a set of straps here that have taken an almost pale/ light green tone.

As Glen mentioned it is a very difficult to locate combination in a waffenrock.
                              Congrats!

                              Joe
