Officer's M43 caps
Hi Jos,
Your cap isn't an M43 but a Bergmütze. M43's don't have the vent gromments. Most M43's dont have the shorter visor, though some do. Your officer's Bergmütze is much more rare than an officer's M43. These were made before and into early 1943 when production ceased as the M43's replaced them.

Hi François,
I don't know anything about this cap,but just like you I feel some hesitation.
Some things I like,other things I don't like.
If tailor made,the tailor was on a birthday party the Sunday evening before,the sewing isn't very professional done.
The little strips of cloth on both sides of the cap of which noone knows what purpose they had,look very short in comparison of the caps I've seen.
I like the cloth of the cap more or less,I don't like the liner,very sloppy.
Some say caps can be indentified by the grommets,so maybe you can give a close up of them in and outside ?
I don't say this cap is fake,but for some reason I wouldn't buy it.
I'm curious about the outcome.
