    Luftwaffe Tunic,hauptmann-flight

For sale is a Luftwaffe tunic and matching pants for a Hauptman in the Flieger. Both items are a matched set and in very good condition. The tunic is slightly faded, but the cool thing is you can see what medals he wore ! The cufftitle is for Geschwader General Wever. It is very nicely ,almost invisibly, hand sewn to the tunic. It is a genuine cufftitle and was added after the tunic was made. There are loops for 3 badges to left side and one to right pocket. All are matching thread .There are also 4 loops for a long ribbon bar on left pocket. The far left ribbon bar loop is damaged. The collar tabs appear to be hand sewn on but are original to this tunic. The breast eagle in bullion is also hand sewn to the tunic. It is in pretty good condition. The purple satin liner is very good condition with only a seperation of one seam about 6" There is no tag in either the pants or jacket. The buttons have 2 different makers but match on the front. The pants are in very good condition with only the yellowing of the white pocket material. Both items do not have a hole anywhere that I can find.Price is reduced to $850.00 All E-stand rules apply. Buyer pays shipping. The first one to say they will take it will get it . Regards, Mitch

Badge loops. You can see the outline of the Iron cross and the lower left appears to be a Ground assault badge

                        Mitch,
I can be wrong but I think this tunic is bundeswehr

                          LW tunic

I agree with François--my concerns are the lack of cuffs, the fact that the pocket flaps look reworked (note how low the buttons are on the pockets--I think they were once the scalloped BW type that someone trimmed and resewed).

I think you might be right.I will withdraw it for sale , until we sort it out.Maybe a picture of an early Bundeswere Luft tinic would help.
                            Thanks, Mitch

                              Mitch,

I was reluctant to say anything until François brought this up, but it is a Bundeswehr tunic.
