My Dad's Knöbelbecher-What do you think

My dad got these out of Germany about a year ago. What I find fascinating is that they still have original WWII era mud on them. I will try to get photos of the inside of them tomorrow so that you can see the stamps.

Very nice . Do you or your father plan on cleaning them up? If so, I would recommend taking them to a legitimate "cobbler" and not one of those chain type shoe repair stores. I know some people have issues with cleaning awards and medals but some polish, shoe dye and a nail or two will continue to preserves this boots for a long time.

Manuel is right, no need to clean or do anything, just keep them away from heat and the sunlight, if you clean them where are you going to find original ww2 era mud??

He does not plan on cleaning them. It gives them lots of character, if I do say so myself. The soldier who wore them must have been to mother Russia and back to the Fatherland, judging by the wear.
