Please can I have some help with this shirt - i was told it is a German Prisoners Shirt - is this correct?

No it is not . It looks like a WW1 tunic from the stamp and was worn by a POW and the black diamond at the back , represented the level of nazi ideology by the POW , I thank that black represented " hardcore " nazi/member of the nazi party.
Interesting jacket none the less .

Thanks for that - please can you tell me - is it a WW1German fatigue tunic re-used by the British or Americans at the end of WW2 for captured Germans?
