    Heer "modifed" M41 tunic

Is this what they refer to as a "modified" M41 tunic?

The tunic has a 5-button front, with the 5th button being concealed by the lapel (both of which are sewn down).

Looks to be the original factory applied collar (perhaps covered in badge cloth by the wearer) .

Can´t agree. Look at the foto at #6.
IMO it was new applied, when the tunic was at the tailor. It was shortend too.

Have a look at the photo again...It is the original factory applied collar, covered in badge cloth by the wearer.

Here is the stitching from the factory tabs.

Agree that is it is a m40 tunic (5 buttons) with modifications. The collar covered and the tunic shortened. Jacques

I'll bet $10.00 that the original factory tabs are still there underneath the badge cloth...very nice find!

Nice tunic. It show the pride the soldiers have about looking smart. He took it to a tailor as he wanted the dark green collar. He may had been a veteran of the France invasion?

                              congratulations
