Is that a real cover or was it modified?

it might be quite good to keep such threads as these 'clean' and leave the overt joke vapour trails to somewhere more fitting on the forum. the conclusion seems to be the hbt set here is not authentic ww2. more pics would be appreciated, especially of the famed trouser leg front pocket...as i say this seems imo to be an early modern prototype from somewhere like s&m militaria-a good firm imo. look forward to them churnng them out in mass soon.

Sorry to offend your Lordship, We will get right on that. . . .overtly. What fun is there in doing this, well without fun.

I also would like to see more pictures. I have seen sets like this since the 1980s. Speaking of keeping things clean, this set should be washed with Fels-Naptha to get out the fake mildew staining in the trousers.

I use the term "Lord" as it would be used in Toronto area of Ontario as well namely spoken for my time at Trent University in Peterbough where the men are men and the poutine is for the Pepsis eh.

The HBT weave is totally wrong, front and reverse... 100% fake.

I agree, I do not think it is a new "prototype" version though. There were several different types made like this. I remember first seeing sets like this in the mid-80s in Germany and there were other materials beyond what is identified as HSC. The fabric was used by other firms and sold through German dealers like Wolfram Diebel in the 80s also. I do not think the pictures are detailed enough to start designating dealers etc. or a new manufacture.

as a helpful tip, check the above us dealer's link... (not sure if they have manufacturing colleagues in mexico or not). this firm seems to be expert at issuing wonderful looking repros of german uniforms...ive seen their current hbt sets-and from the pics shown as this thread's starter, i think the material looks the same. i dont understand why its taken so long to knock panzer sets out in the same material as the hbt drill/combat tunic sets, which have been around for over a year-but ive got a feeling this thread starter may be one such item. that's all. lets hope such items become available soon. and now a word from our sponsors...

I would just write them and ask. Most this stuff is being made in China now. To me the fabric is different and lining materials, stamps. Usually the wraps are much harder to fake and there are more tells. You also generally need to take an original apart to get the right proportions for each panel and the cut etc. as shown in this ad. I certainly would not sacrifice an original to get the pattern and they are too cheap to do that as well.
