    Fake Bevo Volunteer shields

Does anyone know which of the Bevo Volunteer armshields have been faked up to this point and how to detect them? I've been told the Turkistan ones have been faked but can't find out how to detect the bad ones.

They pretty much all have been reproduced and with differentiating them, well, it depends on which particular shield you're looking at as there are differences but not consistent between each type of shield. I hope that makes sense the way I explained it!
    Best regards,

If any members have any bad ones (compared with good), I sure would like to see them and probably so would others. This does not seem to be discussed very much and might be a good place to start , don't you all agree????

The most obvious difference between good and bad bevo sleeve shields is the backing material...the bad ones are all a darkish forest green/black color while the originals are more a light graygreen/gray color. Also, the fakes feel stiff..like polyester. You can just about see all the different fakes at shows..I have seen them selling as fakes from Redick and others for about 15 dollars each. The most common ones are Hervatska, Kroatian, Fries Arabien, Turkistan(with the mineretes and the version with the bow/arrow). I don't have any fakes in the collection but some dealers have them on their sites as original..or you can scan ebay..they usually show up now and then.
