    S-Rings

Has anyone ever noticed advertised original tunics that have repo S-rings?

A while back I did a search based on this subject that resulted without much of an educational objective.

For research purposes here are a few examples for comparison to add to the tool bag.

    - Known reproduction on the left
    - Known original on the right

The most prominent contrasting difference's entail:

the repos have slanted/ pointed ends to the tips conclusive to a wire cutter pattern used to fabricate. Notice the orignal example is cut flat across.

Also the originals normally have an irregular form to them (some more obvious than this). The repos always seem to be of a uniform structure.
As efficient and precise as the Germans are, this item did not embody the properties of those manufacturing proceedures.

I'm only quoting from these known examples as there maybe other original/repo's that may conflict with this information but it's intended as a basis FYI.

    Any other food for thought?
