RB Number Error or mistake??

Hi guys,
just wondering if anyone has seen this before. I just got a pair of original M43 Italian wool keilhose, but the markings are odd. The RB number is wrong, it has only 8 digits instead of 9. Also, there is no depot marking/date. Any input?

Not sure if just human error or a late change to the RB# system.Perhaps even a Foreign manufacturers code..I have an original M43 set with only 8 numbers.

I think it is fine Geard. I have seen FJ smocks with 6 numbers; the 3 zeros were missing.

In this case perhaps it should have been "0054".

Thanks guys, just thought it odd. The pants are original, based-on the pants themselves, just the stamping is odd.
