    Thanks for your comments

For the M38 Officers side cap i have already all insignias. To get insignias for the M40 trop cap is a challange. The eagle is incoming soon, but i cannot find a cocarde and a pink Soutache. If someone has such insignis for sale, please drop me a PM. I will pay top euros for it

Incredible job and great to see it all nicely restored.
You will be interested to know that I found some photos of your friend wearing his stug wrap around the time of Normandy. He originally had field grey panzer tabs with skulls attached. He later changed to the standard officer Litzen tabs. Might be worth asking him about this. Very interesting photos.

                            HI Ostmark.

Thanks to invite me to visit your great post, after I shared a nice 21.Panzer Officer Group too....http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=560113

With Both Tunic, it could be a nice Beginning for a special "21.Pz.Div." Virtual Museum ...

As a lot of Guys there, I was first not convinced about the project to restore the Tunic. But really, you have done the right Choise and chose the matching [Insignias, that is really an awesome Job !!

Concerning the Wet himself, you wrote he was taken POW in Epinal by the French. You mean probably the 2nd French Armored Div. under Leclerc ?? As Epinal is the place where I grew, I would be especially interested to get more Details (MP) about that...
You were right in your MP, perhaps "my" Vet, Major and Commander I.(gepanzert)/Pz.Gren.Rgt.125 and "your" Vet knew each other...

I spend some very nice Minutes to read your Thread and looked at your Pics, thanks for that !!

Thankyou for sharing this amazing story. I have really enjoyed reading this thread and hope you can continue adding more to the story with more details about the vet.

The way the DAk Pz m40 cap appears I would almost be inclined to leave it as it is . It really says it all in its present condition although restored would look great as well.

A photo of the vet holding or waring the caps would add great significance to the group IMO.
