Just got a pair of customs official/police shoulder boards I bought from the e-stand. I've been looking for a pair for ever nearly as I have a customs official's visor cap but could never find a jacket. My question to you is, could you help me identify if these boards are good or not...my CHALLENGE to you is, I have no pictures
The boards themselves are in fairly good shape, but not good enough to pay alot for. Some places are missing fabric, etc. They have one pip which is larger than that on NCO boards and still shiny, the silver tresse with green "V"s running across it is made of some type of spun wire over a rope or something? (Can't tell, there's only one spot where the wire is loose enough to peer under)
There is no color difference when the pips are removed, but you can tell they've been pressed down on the wire tresse for some time from the indentation and dirty/clean marks.
They are slip on boards and the part that would slide under the loop is not rounded, but a long thin rectangle. No keyhole button hole here, just the slash with a lighter green stitching around.
The threads passed the burn test, but my blacklight is gone for now so I couldn't get that test going.
I realize this is a tall order, but any help or pictures would be more than welcome. I'm fairly sure they're real, but I'm also fairly sure I'm not the expert some people here are.
Thanks again,
ZaCK
