(about the insignia above the left breast pocket on my father´s pic):
-there is a feldspange with something I cannot identify and my father can´t remember. It was very likely something Italian, most likely the Italian/German campaign medal which he was awarded. But above that ribbon, he remembers the arrows and yoke symbol (if you try hard you recognize it) of the Spanish troups of the Spanish Civil War 1936. Oddly enough, my father did not serve there. It was a "sympathy" badge and is not an "award" strictly speaking.
