    No, they were made of one layer only, showing the same sort of camo one side, and bleeding on the other side...

      Hi Gran Sasso, this is probably the best pic of the poncho that was in my collection, but is no longer, though its only of one side. I always though it was good?

        More than military, looks as period construction. Thousand of trousers was made in that period, pre, during, after the WWII in that way. Black smoking trousers, civilan gray or striped trousers, or fatigue ones was made in that way...

        I'm for a civilan 'fatigue' utilization.

              if I rember well in some book which were a soldiers memories, soldier wrote that they were wearing italian camo the way they are shown here as it has, because of camo print, more mudd color and it was easy to camuflaged.
              That`s true, i have a M44 style jacket of inside out italian camo, it was made inside out because this looks more like water pattern camo and is not so "shiny". This is a not so easy thing, because inside out items were made pre may`45, and also after that. But i think the trousers are period!
