Nice uniform. From what I can figure there were minor manufacturer variations in the LW versions. There is the two button (waist band) version and another version identical to that referenced in Uniformen Markt. The two button style is the most common in wartime pictures. Here is the single button belonging to "Female Service" and a wartime picture.

Notice the girl in the wartime picture is wearing a RAD broach. I've seen a mix of uniforms with RAD flak units. In this case you see the complete LW uniform. In the earlier pic you see the brown blouse with LW cap. Jim

PS I have an article on the female KM 44 uniform. It shows contemporary pics of the only KM version with skirt I'm aware of. I'll see if I can find it.

Great photo! The girl in the wartime shot appears to be wearing earlier trousers with her '44 tunic as you don't see the slanted flapped pockets at the front (just as you sometimes see German soldiers in the m-44 tunic wearing the earlier Keilhose (m-43) trousers).

I'm not sure who owns the pic, probably someone on the WAF. Heres another one that shows the pants in the middle. Jim

Thanks to the owners of the pics. I will certainly pull them if they want.

Here is the KM version from Militaria Magazine. It pretty much follows the guidance in Uniformen Markt.

Here is the line drawing in Uniformen Markt for the skirt and pants. The manufacturers didn't always follow the guidance in every respect. The LW pants used two buttons on the pockets and buttoned up on one side.

There is something very utilitarian and futuristic (by 1945 standards) about these late-war German uniforms. Of course this trend was not limited to Germany as the British had led the way with the "battledress" and the Americans had their "Ike" jacket. At any rate I find these late III Reich uniforms particularly appealing.

All eagles are slanted on original tunics...and there are original m43 and m44 tunics with eagles sewn threw the linings...i believe these female tunics though all came from the factory without an eagle applied. Then RAD, Heer insignia, etc...applied when issued. I believe mine has an eagle post production applied but done during the period. And yes it is applied through the lining.

I tend to agree. Look at the KM eagle above, it is sewn with the top running parallel to the top of the pocket. This gives the appearance that the eagle is slanting. Gotta remember that he pockets on these blouses are sewn at an angle and have a distinctive slant.

The Heer eagle in question seems to have been applied to run parallel to the bottom edge of the tunic.

I know there are collectors that believe all eagles sewn through the lining are postwar applied. I'm not one of those folks. I've seen plenty (mostly M43-M44 ) of tunics with eagles sewn through the lining. These include unissued pieces.

                    Jim

I am the new owner of the Female 44 with eagle. I also own one without eagle in a true brown color. After comparing the two I am more convinced that the one with the eagle is in fact the Amy version. First lets update this thread to include both blouses and the one set of pants I own. Here is the non eagle blouse.

The blouse is stamped on the inside of the pocket.

Here are a few pics of the eagle. Some will discount it as being originally applied because it goes through the liner. I believe that whoever did it used an industrial sewing machine. Notice it is sewn over the dart in the blouse, which feels like a rock. The eagle also feels padded because of the tight stitch.
