    officers breast eagle question

picked up a few pieces today
have a question about the bird on the bottom right.
tightly woven silver wire... thread... assume it's a good officer eagle
what period is it, or what "model" tunic was it removed from
little overcast so the silver isn't showing very well in the pic

    thanks

Hi, its a 2nd pattern or M36 eagle. Not sure when they stop making these, but any TR tunic might have one, even combat tunics. These can also be used by ems/ncos on dress tunics.

Nice original cut off....The factory machine sewn eagle (it was an EM field jacket) is underneath it,the flatwire eagle was hand sewn over the top.
