First time there were good pictures. Interssting the rust stains cover the stamps. Boards are interesting.

Looks like the tabs have been replaced or moved in the last pic, you can see remains of previous stitching on the left side just behind the collar tab

Looks like Polizei color cloth... Open collar design makes me think post war
          West German... Hope I'm wrong!

            Hello
Unfortunately you are not wrong !!! it is indeed a post-war tunic , with what appear to be good wartime insignias .
I would send it back , unless you really paid a cheap price ( worth to keep for the insignias that is).
            Regards
            P-Y

Comments from Bill Unland who shares my view:
These 4 button, open collar tunics are almost universally post war. The army insignia on a police green tunic also does not fit with it being an authentic period used tunic.

I'm afraid I would agree with your initial assessment of this piece.

                Regards,
                W.Unland

what about six button tunics like these polizei badged and dated 1942 and trousers dated 1944 stamped munich atleast that is what i can make off it
each found on the other side of europe?
                  no other traces of insignia.

                  sorry for my poor englisch

Perhaps it is the picture but the top two button holes appear to be added.

you could be wright, i have taken a closer look, and they could be added
but the trousers was not bought with the tunic.
                          some 1.5j later.
its this a bad sign ?

Are the trousers from the same fabric?

                              hello naxos, yes
it appear to be the same fabric.
some kind of aertex/moleskin i think.
no other marks than showed,as in the tunic.
