When did Heer introduce subdued Tresse?

    Hello guys

I have two tresse/pip questions and hope you can help me out:

    A. When did Heer introduce subdued Tresse?

    B. On this strap there is a pip without “small dots” (like seen on pip B). Are these pips without “small dots” typical late war pips often seen on straps with subdued tresse or were the use of this type of pips occasional?

    Thank you in advance

    Hello Marius,
April 25th, 1940 is the adoption of the subdued tresse.
Sorry i can't tell you about the pip being widespread or not

I just checked my Officers shoulderboards and i found only one pair with "small dots" pips on them....all others have pips without dots.

As a general rule as well anything earlier was used until the end of the War so you could see prewar EM boards with subdued tress added etc. There are many different styles of pips that were worn on boards, here are some examples-
