    Edelweiss for M43 tunic ?

    Witch kind of edelweiss arm patch was normaly used on a M43 tunic ?
    Also I need pictures of M43 shoulder boards for Gebirgsjäger enlisted and NCO
    and witch type of collar insignia did they use .
    Hope someone can help .

    Hello Rolf,
    The edelweiss patch that should be used on M43 Feldblusen is the BeVo type.
    There is no M43 shoulderstrap. You can use M40 and M44 shoulderstraps.
    You already know how M40 shoulderstraps look like as you own a pair for a transport/supply NCO (for a Gebirgsjäger the piping must be light green). Late shoulderstraps lack the lining or the tongue is replaced by two pieces of cloth.
    Concerning the collar tabs, you can use the ones you want if you plan to apply them on a stripped Feldbluse...early ones with both stripes identifying the branch of service (also light green), M38 all branches of service or M40 all branches of service. Do a search on the forum for "Gebirgsjäger's tunic" or "GJ insignia", and you might find some interesting photos for what you're looking for.
