Nice, that unit was based in Iserlohn. I have been to the kaserne area many times and talked to several Vets at reunions there.

Unfortunately the tunic has to go.
I want to trade it for a Kavallerie Regiment 13 Nco Waffenrock.
So i will put it on E-stand.

But i want some more opinions before ...

Is there a unit Stamp? That also makes things nice.

Unfortunately there is no tailor mark or unit stamp...

Very appealing tunic, thanks for sharing.

They were a great unit, I promised my wife to only buy named and Nebel but it is a nice one.

I have always been curious if the soldiers wearing the waffenrock had to carry a purse to hold their papers, tickets, etc. How strange to have no pocket that was handily available.

Duct tape can't fix stupid, but it can muffle the sound.

Issue rocks had deep pockets in the tail flaps of the rear vents. You see these in tailor made examples as well, sometimes one or on both sides.

Damn Johnny. What were you drinking when you made that promise. I can sell you some labels and I'll ink some names in for you. You can then sew them in when you find something you like.

Here is a trick I used with my wife when we were first married (still works 24 years later) - when I buy something above and beyond on the price meter, I deflect the criticism by buying her something nice also. Keeps the peace.

When she moved in she occupied the main bedroom closets. The free standing closets do not support tunics, they are tinny metal that bends and crap. I had to reorganize the house just to get functional bars to hold the uniforms. We still have space issues. She has learned to appreciate the investment end of it and actually has me buy stuff for her for quick turnovers. No worries, especially now that she has learned that all branches were assigned to Nebel unit on TDY and therefore are Nebel as well.
