subdued chevrons

I need heelp with my uniform for reeancting.

I'm buying a m43 from Lost battalion I wish to put an original eagle on the breast of the tunic and gefreiter chevron on the sleeve(both subdued) on a wool uniform
would this be correct for 1944 also adding a tank destruction badge to the tunic.

Hello Michael,
first of all welcome to the forum
IMO original breast eagles and chevrons, and all original insignia, shouldn't be used at all for reenacting. They belong to History and should be kept in cabinets, collections..etc...There are good repros on the market.
No problem for the TDB in 1944. If you want to wear one only for reenacting, you can choose the basic one (repro of course) for one tank destroyed or a golden one for five tanks destroyed...
