rank pip question

Hello,

I have a matching pair of DRK (German Red Cross) shoulderboards for a "Vorhelfer" .
These boards have 1 rank pip each.
But maybe some of you guys can help me......
Which size pips should be on shoulderboards ???
The pips on my boards are the large ones......
But i have also seen original boards with the smaller size pips as used on collar tabs....
I'm in the collecting community for many years now but i'm not able to find the right answer for my "pip question".

If the DRK was anything like the Wehrmacht, most any size pips (save for the small political/SS/SA pips for collar tabs) will probably work just fine. The smaller pips could have been used in a pinch, but I don't think they would be considered "standard".
