The basic waffenrock looks fine. But ..... it appears someone, postwar, has tried to do some restoration. The shoulder boards should be made of bottle-green wool, not the field gray wool of the shoulder boards on this tunic. And the Gefreiter sleeve chevron, very sloppily sewn on, is for the reed-green denim field service tunic.

Thanks for the opinions guys. Should I remove the stuff or leave it as is? She's a bit dirty, but at least original. What are these things going for?

If it were mine I would remove the shoulderstraps and rank cheveron and replace the shoulderstraps with the correct ones. But that is just my opinion.... Harold

If it was mine I would professionally restore it with the correct boards. If it didn't have a shadow from a chevron, then I probably wouldn't put one on.

Or, you can promote him to E-4.
