    M44 Grossdeutschland blouse

I saw where you folks were putting up GD items, and have dug this out of my household goods. It is missing the shoulder cyphers, and it's fairly beat up but it's real.

Here is a picture of the cufftitle. This was a gift from a veteran in 1977.

You can see the indentation from the GD cypher. You should get replacement originals for this awesome piece. I hope to join the GD 1st Kompanie reenactment group out of Milwaukee, and absolutely love your tunic there.
And a gift! You are so lucky! Well, at least at my young age of 16, I have an original WH Artillery Hauptmann's tunic to look at. My Grandpa's brother sent it back along with a Walther PP and a Waffen SS double decal helmet(of which my dad sold both ), a HJ knife(my aunt threw out ), and a Mauser hunting rifle in which I have NO CLUE as to what happened to it, only photos of my grandpa as a boy aiming it. I have taken photos of this Tunic and will share them tonight.
Once again, Wonderful tunic! Should be worth lots of greens !

Thanks for looking! It is very short waisted, but fits about a 43 chest. It has no belt support straps, which is strange, but it never appears to have had any, and they weren't covered up by the waist piece. Lined with a white rayon-like material, with number stamps that make no sense to me. I was dissappointed when I first got it, as I wanted a four-pocket quality blouse and believed that's what he had on the phone. The nap was completely gone, and the waist had been crudely tailored smaller with a dart using rust-brown thread. But - it was a combat tunic and all I had were parade or walking out dress ones. He also sold me a M43, which is identical in wear and pretty close in shade, and an Iron Cross first class. He was convinced it was a police uniform, because his unit's intel office told him that what the cuff title meant. A very nice man whose compnay and stories I enjoyed.
