    DKiG Uniform

    Hi

Thought I'd show you the latest catch - a uniform that belonged to a Oberleutnant in the 5th cavallery regiment.

What's special naturally is that the Oberleutnant was a DKiG reciever. It is clear that there was a DKiG sewed onto the right pocket.

It can be seen that the guy also got LOADS of other medals.

    A true soldier.

Can anyone here help me with further information about Oberleutnant Otto Siemon, Kav.Rgt 5 ????

All I know is that he got his DKiG August the 28th 1944.

Is there a tag inside or how have you tied the name to the tunic? Was the insignia removed and replaced or?

I got the name from the family.

The medals have not been subsituted - the eagle is the original eagel. It was by the way taken off the tunic for some reason I can't tell you about.

Thanks for the info. I personally would think all the insignia is replaced and the three ribbons added, dress shoulder boards etc. but understand that you do not want disclose secret information to explain it.

I don't want to get into the usual endless discussions with members who haven't had the tunic in their hands for personal examination.

All I thus want to tell you is that the tunic has been found perfectly original by the most credited collector in Denmark.
