    Cap Eagle Real or Repro

    I've had this cap eagle for about 30 years and curious is it real or repro? Opinions welcomed.... Thank you in advance.... Harold

    I think its ITALIAN made for m43 caps HEER or breast eagle.. Billbert

      It must be a cap eagle as it only measures 2-1/2" from tip to tip. Next big question what is it worth, if anything.... Thank s Harold

        It looks like it's on Italian wool. I am much more familiar with Italian bullion insignia, but I think billbert is on to something. It can't be very common, and I would think it's more valuable than the common bevo, but I like odd stuff.

          I also have a strong suspicion its Italian theatre made for a German Cap!

              Thank you very much for the replies, I was going to toss this out thinking it was a cheap repro. Is there much of a market for these Italian made insignia?

                What would a fair price to ask for this cap eagle? It looks like it had been stitched onto a cap at one time
