    Johnny,

You never posted the images of your tunic here. It would be a treat for all to see.

Wait until you see what I have coming!

I will see if I have images. The NCO ranks are really rare. I saw one at a show a couple years ago and was told it was a "Nazi Trolley Car Operator Uniform". I had to walk away from that one quickly .

Mike that is a beauty, and not the typical elevated career level either. This one was most likely either an attorney or the presiding low level judge? Very cool!

Wessel, there are loops for the Turkish Star on the tunic.
Can anyone tell mw which branch of service this is from? I'm not exactly sure. Looking at Angolia's Traditions book Vol. 2, for an Oberst in a High Grade Career, it could be one of the following: Oberstintendant; Ministerialrat, Oberstkriegsgerichtsrat, Direktor bei....; Oberstapotheker; Heeresbaudirektor; Heeresarchivedirektor; or Heeresoberschulrat. Based on the Crimson base color, we definitely know it is not the Heeresbaudirektor or Oberstapotheker.

                Todd,

I don't know if this will answer your question, but take a look at the link below.

Mark posted while I was writing- As you can see on the linked chart- Unfortunately unless they use a rank-job title on a name tag etc. it is impossible to figure it out. The color was used for several different specificity areas in the Army -Museums, mapping, and so on.

Mike, further to my post no. 39 and yours of 63, we have the same tunic. We did discuss this and wondered where the KVK ribbon went to??? Was it original, do you think?.
Here is a lightweight Admin tunic.

                        A couple of new additions:

My second LW Sonderfuhrer NCO(now have three if you include the officer).

The next one is the LW Ordnance, photographic, cartographer, or aviation technical specialist.

Second set. The badge has been with the tunic for the past 70+ years.
