I have a photo given to me by an old German Wehrmachtbeamte vet. His name was Frank Gregor. Sadly he has passed away now and had the pleasure of chatting with Frank many times. He still had his sword but just the hilt with about 4" the blade remaining. He told me he broke it when he returned to his home after the war because he was afraid of being arrested for haveing a weapon in his possession. He also had the cap unit device in a small frame but he wouldn't part with it or his soldbuch. Here is a scan of the photo he gave me. I know it's not tunic but thought I would post a picture of him wearing his tunic and cap. He added his info on the back of the photo

Gorgeous uniform, but if you don't collect them you can't keep everything. Very attractive uniforms all the way around, thanks for starting the thread Paul.

That T&S stuff is great. I have a couple of sets of LW Judicial Offical NCO tabs that complete with the packets, tags, and etc. They are the only ones like that I have seen anywhere. Completely unreferenced too. It would be great to start a library thread for each branch. These items are references into themselves.

Those are both for the General Staff. Beamte tabs and cuff litzen have 7 teeth

Frank's specialty was a machinest(secondary piping color was black), after the war he came to Canada and worked on the Arrow. When the Arrow was cancelled he was offered a job at Boeing, but when he got to the border, he was refused entry because he still had reletives living in Potsdam which was at that time behind the Iron Curtain, and was concidered a risk to the security of the US.
