urgent Generals shoulderboards

This is getting urgent.

I can buy this pair of Generals shoulderboards

The two stars on each board are different of colour which would be a good sign.

Can you please let me know if these are original and how much it would be worthed. ??

I hesitate to answer, because they appear a little odd to me, but it might be the photos. The materials look O.K., not killer one look O.K., but basically correct. The red wool again looks a little off, but it may be the photos. Colors all seem a little too light. The large pips are both a correct type for general officers, and aren't that common. The two different types are easily explained by promotion. I do prefer them to be frosted white, but that's just me. The silver center braid bothers me for some reason, and I am not well versed on post war German general's boards.

I wouldn't bet a lot on it but I would give them a pass hoping its just the photos. The price will depend on how much you want to risk. I have spent in the $400.00 to $500.00 range on unquestionable boards.

Sorry if I'm wrong, but I bet others are having the same problems with them. Good luck,

Generals Boards

Richard is sharp on these things and I'm in the same camp with him. The problem with generals boards is they are a lot tougher to determine than tabs.....a lot!! It would be good if Fieldmarshal Mike would chime in. Having boards in hand is sometimes the only way a knowledgable guy can truely say yes or no and give an honest opinion. But in the end, it's only an opinion. Good luck, Alex
