Hi to all,
I would like to show a "M45" jacket I have found recently and IMO unusual and interesting
It's pretty similar to the very late production variant shown in the past in this forum (pointed flap pocket, single button at the waist, simplified lining etc..)
This one is definitively crudely made with some oddities and probably produced in the last month of the war...maybe a local or foreign production.
Even if this one is far to be a "textbook" manufactured M44 jacket,I believe strongly the piece is original.
Here a description:
-Late war recycled wool
-lack of lining except white burlap to reinforce the back of stitching and Italian satin to join sleeves to the jacket
-lack of marking
-strange rounded collar with classical burlap inside
-several pieces of cloth at the back of the collar
-double/parallel stitching used to the construction of the jacket
-simplified sleeves at the top (can't be open)
