Nice tunic with character!
IMO EM/NCOs did that to make their tunics to look more like officer's (tailor-made) tunics which never had "baggy" packets.
(don't laugh) M40 is my favorite of all for some reason probably because it has that truly combat ("matte") look, yet classic Wehrmachtdesign I have one and it is pretty "salty" but I like it even more than a "fancy" and mint M36.
