    HBT M43 Tunic Help

I am an insignia guy and not at all an expert on tunics. I had obtained this tunic several decades ago at a Michigan gun and militaria show. I assumed, at the time, that it was post-war assembled. I want to make sure all the components are original before I put it for sale. The shoulder boards are added and did not come with the tunic.

All the insignia is sewn with black thread on both front and reverse. The eagle and collar tabs are both sewn with a straight stitch.

I just want to sure the tunic is 100% original.

Duct tape can't fix stupid, but it can muffle the sound.

Have at it, guys. I have no idea of the value of a mint heer HBT tunic and would appreciate assistance.

                  Thank you,

The construction looks odd to me, from the crooked pocket flap to the lining.

Very nice original HBT M43 tunic.
In this condition without insigna,I would say 500 usd.

No one will believe in this tunic with those insignas.

The best way is to sell the pieces separatly.

For my own personal edification, how common / uncommon is it for an authentic SS tunic to be in HBT material?

                            Hello Walter,

                            The waffen-ss didn't use heer/4 pockets tunic.
Some pics show the use of the earlier drillich tunic without pocket.
The tunic showed by Bob,with all parts in mint condition and a heer depot marking is IMO a "put together"

There is a well known original "das reich "HBT tunic, that is also featured in the Beavor Books. Jacques
