Shoulder Strap Piping Question

I have attached a scan of two different pieces of shoulder strap piping. The white piping is a standard type rayon piping that was used on Heer shoulder straps and has a smooth, slick feel. The Panzergrenadier piping has a different texture and weave like being ribbed.

Has anybody ever seen the green piping in use for either real, or repro straps?

Can you feel the piping inside the strap, is it like the M44 strap?

They looks similar to these which are 100% original, basket weave as John has indicated. Jacques
