    Luftwaffe Shirt ...

    Gentlemen,

I would appreciate your opinions on this shirt. I bought it 10 years ago from a German dealer who advertised it as a "Luftwaffe" shirt --- in my early days of collecting. Needless to say, I have been on the hunt for shirts to accompany uniforms ever since I started collecting.

This one has no markings other than the one shown in the photo (a size). The photos are with flash and without -- none of them do the color justice, unfortunately.

But see what you think anyway.

    Mike

              Hello Mike,

These shirts without eagle are tough to judge IMO..
There're no features saying this is a war piece..
I strongly believe the early Bundeswehr also wore these kind of shirts ,same material..,so ,it is a Luftwaffe shirt..,but how old..?
The "straight" collar ends make it very hard to say this is war or post war shirt..
Difference is only a couple of years...
I personally like the ones with the curved collar ends more or the loose collar..

I can't give you a right answer for this shirt.., tough stuff...

              Take care,
              Jos.

                  Hi Sturmmann,

It's not a Army shirt but Luftwaffe..
The material and color are good for this shirt ,also the buttonholes are correct..

Here's a original Afrika shirt...,see the button holes..

                  Jos.
