    Shoulder boards, WWII or Bundeswehr?

    Dear fellow collectors,

I recently bought a pair of shoulder boards, which were sold to me as WWII shoulder boards for a NCO of the Luftwaffe's medical troops (Unteroffizier). To me they seem to be early Bundeswehr shoulder boards.

    Can somebody confirm me that?

Thank you in advance for your kind assistance.

    Ciao,

    Claudio Ortelli

    Hi Claudio,

I would say Bundeswehr. Heer, not Luftwaffe; Sanitätsdienst. It looks nearly the same like my colleagues have now. Wehrmacht times shoulder boards should be smaller and morde grey- green.
It is typical dark grey for the Heer, the Luftwaffe has blue shoulderboards and yellow stripes for ALL services.

    Best greetings

    Daniel
