    Opinions on tunic

    Hi guys,
Got the tunic bug biting again and thought I would post these pics for your opinions. NCO Moleskin tunic w/m36 style collar. The breast eagle is the bevo wire version which I am used to seeing with wool underlay backing. Zig-zag stitching looks correct. Not too familiar with the prewar moleskin tunics. Were these stocks used by wartime tailors to not waste any materials? I know the pics are small but any comments negative or positive are valued

These tunics are fairly common and are made from RH materials. I am half convinced some were factory made. The pictures are too far to say much on the insignia. This is another example of the same material heavily used. I like these, IMO issue tunics get boring after you have one or two examples of each one and all the variations. These are all unique.

                      Thanks Johnny R,
I assume from your comments that your thumb is I do like these recycled Heer tunics with moleskin and Russian tent material to boot! Not to say that common Heer wool is boring or anything. Thanks for the comments.

                            Guys,
Been awhile since I handled one of these moleskin/prewar tunics in person. If memory serves me correct the texture and weight is very similar to cotton tropical tunics? I did a forum search and one poster said the feel was stiff/rough? Comments appreciated

                              Andy,

I think its a very nice looking tunic. Hope to add one of these or the russian tent material ones to my collection this year but will have to see what happens. Congrats on a sweet tunic Matt
