Is this a Waffenrock conversion? The waist seam, the non-matching pockets and 8-button front would indicate so. Curiously, the front piping was removed from the left buttonhole side, but remains on the right (button) side.

Looks like a very nice conversion and looks incredibly sharp keeping the piped collar intact. I imagine they didn't bother to remove the piping where it didn't show when buttoned. Very nice tunic!
